LAPTOP STOLEN! :(

Dear to who ever had stolen the laptop I think it was very immature and ridiculous of a person from 188 to have stolen a laptop from Mrs.lahana our school is not rich we are very lucky that our school can afford these kind of laptops this is the second time someone had stolen a laptop from the tech cafe who ever had stolen it please bring it back because when we figure out who had it it's going to get worse is much better if the person who has it can just be honest and give the laptop back please this is a serious thing because soon students are going to start getting advantage of steeling a laptop who ever did, steel it should be ashamed and feel guilty:( please honestly bring back the laptop. MRS.Lahana is very upset and i feel sad about that he's the coolest teacher iv'e ever met no offense to the other teachers i think u guys are cool too:) but anyways y would someone steel a laptop from mrs. lahana:(

MADE IN L.A 3

1. If it were up to you to make the decision, would you let the sweatshop workers become legal U.S. citizens? Why or why not?
A: if it were up to me to make the decision i would let the sweat shop workers become legal citizens because i think we as people are all the same and should deserve some respect equally i also think that they should have the same privileges as us because what if someday out of all those immigrants there can become a president. If they were citizens they would be able to have regular jobs, have the right to vote, and travel where ever they want
2. Describe a moment in from parts 1, 2, or 3 of this movie that you found particularly memorable? Why?
A: A memorable moment would be when in part three the chubby lady was telling her story of what she went through just to get to l.a and how when her 3 kids were coming to l.a she lost them and was never again seen. This story is very touching because it's hard loosing your three kids that were left behind from where you came from like the lady :(
3. By the end of part 3, the protestors seem to be giving up hope. If you were able to speak to the group, what would you say to them to inspire them to keep going?
A: what i would say to them to expire them is to keep trying and fight for what you think is right even if it has to do with death or loosing there jobs at least you tried. Many people suffered and went through a lot to fight for what they believed in in the u.s, and most of them achieved it by bravery and having confidence.

MADE IN L.A PART 2

1. Who does Forever 21 blame for the sweatshops? Why?
A:Forever 21 blames the contractors because they did not know who the contractors were hiring. The reason why was because of low payment.

2. What’s wrong with Forever 21′s argument?
A: What's wrong with forever 21's argument is that they say that is the contractors fault and the contractors blame the manufactures but forever 21 hired the contracter but it all goes back to forever 21 you see each time they hired someone and that someone hires another person the hard working immigrants gets even lower payment. It started off with forever 21. And also now that they know all of this why won;t they change the way they pay the working immigrants.

3. Why do the workers continue to protest even if it means they might lose their jobs?
A: They were raised by there parent's by having hope and not giving up just for fighting for something that one day can come true.

MADE IN L.A

1.How is the life of sweatshop workers in L.A. the same as those in Indonesia? How is it different?
A:It was different because in L.A the people that worked in sweat shops had good homes unlike in Indonesia those people had to sleep on the floor share homes with other families they did not know too. Also in L.A they paid like $3.25 a day or a dollar every hour and in Indonesia they paid $1.25 a day the whole day or even cents, in Indonesia they lived very poor and sick, and also in L.A they work for making clothes and in Indonesia they for making sneakers and shoes. There the same because the companies treat them very bad and there are working so many hours for very little money.

2.Why is it that poor immigrants (newcomers) end up working at sweatshops? Why don’t they work as lawyers or doctors or at Mcdonalds?
A:The reason why they can;t work as lawyers or doctors or anything else is because they don't know English and they don't have experience on anything they don't have any choice but to work as garment work that are not paid very well you don't have to have experience for those kind of jobs there really strenuous. They need jobs to afford important things and those are the only ones they can afford.undocumented

3.Predict what’s going to happen by the end of this movie
A:What I think is going to happen at the end is i don't think they are going to win because they don't have a lawyer and they are not citizens they are not very important. Forever21 has many rights and has the money for this kind of situation there are going to be listened more.

SLAVERY

1.How much do Nike workers make in Indonesia each day? How many hours a day do they work?
A:Nike workers make $1.25 a day and work over 15hrs a day.

2.What is life like for Indonesian Nike workers at home?
A: It's really horrible there are many groups of families sleeping in just one little tiny cramped houses they sleep on the floor or cemented beds. They have to use the same toilet area the same water and everything. It's sad to see how many of those people having to work for very little money each day and use that very little money($1.25) to try and live a decent life for food for clothes for everything. Some can't even see there children from over working hours. This video really broke my heart when i watched it.
3.Why won’t Nike talk to Jim or Leslie or let them visit the shoe factory?
A: The reason why Nike workers won't talk to Jim or Leslie is because they are trying to hide the truth they know they are video taping this and they don't want to let the truth come out of how badly the companies is.

Mad Libs

An Odd Animal

The nicole is an animal that has aqua fur with purple spots on its head and arms. Its tail is shaped like a(n) oval which it uses to has hairy. An adult nicole may weigh more than707 pounds and stand over 808 feet high.

The nicole can be found only in dr and pr. Although its favorite food is spagettie, it also likes to eat dogs. If you ever see a(n) nicole, be sure not to ever sing “aborto from aventura.” That song makes it sticky. Instead, give it a few spagettie and be on your way.

Survival!

The water fall Lucky Lulu was sinking quickly. “Abandon ship! Everyone into the yes!” hollered Captain sim. But the crew and passengers knew there were not enough yes, so they threw dog, poop, and even one peed love overboard. Then everyone taste into the testwater and grabbed onto whatever they could.

Captain sim ordered everyone to form a line, tie their crafts together, and sing “learn your lessons well.” First in line were nicole and edwin, bobbing in their nasty fart. Next, camejustin bieber hanging on for dear life to a slimy class. They were followed by 700 others.

After 7 days, they were rescued by a strange cat. Not one passenger from the Lucky Lulu has taken a boat ride again.

BOTTLED WATER V.S TAP

1. It really depends bottled water may or may not be clean or tastier but what people are trying to tell us is that tap water is not healthy or its not good or it does not taste good but the real idea is that some bottled water do come from tap like aquafina and dasani. Some people have tested tap and bottled water. Around the country people perfure tap water is tastier than bottled we are wasting money in something that we can get free in our own kitchen. 2.burned oil is used to make bottled water it puts chemicals in the air it contaminates it. we can use this oil to fuel millions of cars all of the energy used to make the bottled water and then to ship it to the united states and when we get the bottle water we drink it in about 2min and back to the garbage its all a waste then disposal comes. almost 80% of the trashed water bottles goes to end up in landfills where they will sit for thousands of years where there are burned using tostic polution the rest goes into recycling bins. Now where does recycling bins go? well shiploads are sent to india where there are mountins of bottled water from california. The recycled bottles will actually be turned into recycled bottles but that was just a lie. These bottles were downcycled which means turning them in lower qualitie pruducts and then to be chucked later and then it would be shiped into india. These people make us feel like we really need bottled water like scaring us telling us that tap water is contaminated or suducing us by saying that water bottle is better and tastier than tap just to sell more and more bottle water.

3.we can make a difference like putting more water fountains around neighborhoods and puplic areas invest in public infrastructure or even work to banned water bottles at our schools. There are many solutions.

ABORTION

Now I’m watching over you,
because I cut it way too deep,
don’t worry I’m still watching you,
I watch when your asleep,
I know you miss me so much,
and you loved me with all your heart,
but I’m in a better place now,
and you cant tear it apart,
you don’t have to worry now,
I’m with some of our relatives,
just don’t do what I did,

pirecing

The most interesting part in this documentary is the pictures and how crazy they are. Some are nasty but still cool and  crazy.

      1. people get piercing because they want to look cool in a funky crazy way
2.Well the difference between getting piercing on your ears and getting it on your eyebrow is that is way to off the line people hardly notice it on the ear but on the eye brow is too dangerous for some cases. Also some people even get on inopropriate body parts which is worse than getting it on your eyebrows but we should just keep our faces and body just the way they are.
      3. there is such thing as to many piercing which is bad and dangerous so I wouldn't go farther than putting them on your ears.

GAMBLING

1. Gambling is really bad because it ca become an addiction to students teenagers and kids when they can be studying. Its also bad because there attitude can change towards other people there would be more games and video game other than studying there should be a time and place for games and other activities education comes first.

2.5 ways you can tell your addicted to gambling is if you play nonstop, the only thing you can think about is playing with  your games, you play 24/7, kids can stop doing there homework and consentrate more on there games, and start acting more grumpy and and more tough with bad attitude.

Water Testing

What im studying about is how pesticides and how can it affect organizoms and our water. Pesticide is a chemical used to kill unwanted plants and or animals. It can kill humans because this chemical can cause humans to have cancer which is a bad thing. I took the pesticide test on tap water and my results came to a negative which is a very good thing.

Lab report:
sample: tap water
test:pesticides
hypotheses:I think that pesticides can get into our water if there's to much of it.
Procedure: what I did first was I put 2 drops of tap water in a small bottle then I put one test strip into the small bottle and waited 10 min. The results came out negative.
Results: negative
explanation: my explanation is that pesticide isn't in our water because we are not near farms and our water is treated.
